ABOUT THE MUSEUM

This multisite museum’s mission is simple: to document and chronicle one of the biggest scars on American history in as raw a light as possible. From the soldiers’ rough living conditions to the struggle the slaves had on their rush to freedom, the museum allows guests to feel firsthand what the struggle of the mid-eighteenth century was like.

ABOUT THE EVENTS

While the museum is open for guests to peruse at their own time, there are a wide variety of events based around the Civil War that they can also attend, if they like! Such events include an examination of politics on both sides of the Confederacy and Union, galleries dedicated to the personal powerhouses of the war, and displays that show what average everyday life was like for American citizens
