Known for its bohemian spirit, Venice is a buzzing beach town with upscale commercial and residential pockets. Free-spirited Venice Boardwalk is the site of funky shops, street performers and colorful murals. There’s also a skate park and Muscle Beach outdoor gym. Abbot Kinney Boulevard features foodie hot spots, stylish boutiques and coffee bars. A picturesque enclave of canals is surrounded by modernist homes.

ABOUT THE EVENT

Venice Beach is a vibrant town with a bohemian spirit and free-spirited locals. See its true colors by walking through neighborhood streets and visiting beautiful community garden boxes! All community garden boxes are managed and cared for by Community Healing Gardens, a local nonprofit. We will meet to fuel up on organic joe or if you prefer decaf at our local Venice infamous coffee spot, Groundwork Coffee. Then off we go as I lead you around the streets of Venice! We'll be visiting the various garden food boxes around town and I'll be teaching you how to plant, harvest, and even compost. You'll leave this experience inspired by community gardens and with some goodness (freshly grown produce from Venice) to take home with you. Say what?!
