ABOUT ARTIST
Sergey Grinevich (born in 1960, in the urban settlement of Ros, Grodno Oblast, Belarus) is a contemporary Belarusian artist. With his ironic views of reality, Grinevich is more of an attentive observer than a critic. Color to him is a profound symbol, which complements the gist of what is painted. Sergey Grinevich said, “There is no specific image I seek to epitomize in my paintings, but there is an entire cosmos of signs and significations”.

ABOUT ARTIST
When featuring him in their 2006 Biennial, the Whitney Museum described Urs Fischer’s practice as “founded on a consideration of the nature of substances, the act of making, and the unpredictable processes that can result from combining the two.” Working in collage, drawing, sculpture, and most notably installation, Fischer transforms a host of materials to create his forms, from wood, clay, and glass to found objects, food, and wax.

ABOUT ARTIST

ABOUT ARTIST
Sanya Kantarovsky does not like to hear his work discussed neatly in terms of figuration or abstraction; instead, he relates it to the graphic, calligraphic, and historic influences that guide his practice. Kantarovsky produces video installations and sculptures, though he is best known for his paintings; his signature works often have thinly applied, wiped, or scraped layers of paint, and feature narrative scenes populated by isolated, sinewy figures.
ABOUT GALLERY
The gallery was founded in 1985 by Lawrence Luhring & Roland Augustine. Its principal focus is the representation of an international group of contemporary artists whose diverse practices include painting, drawing, sculpture, video and photography.
