ABOUT ARTIST

Günther Förg is a contemporary artist who is a part of the post-war generation of German artists against modernism. Being one of the first artists to work in multidisciplinary works, he also creates muliti-media pieces through sculpture, painting, printmaking, photography, and drawing.

In 1997, this gallery was founded by Almine Rech who is a French art dealer. Though they are most known for their famous mid-career and emerging artists, they seek out those lesser known who specialize in minimal and conceptual art that breaks the mold.
