ABOUT ARTIST
Daniel Zeller’s obsessively layered paintings and drawings exploit the visual and compositional potentials of texture and line. Using only graphite or ink and acrylic paint on paper, Zeller is grounded in traditional media, but his insistence on a limited range of materials encourages him to push their compositional limits.

ABOUT ARTIST
Julie Mehretu’s work is about layers: the physical layering of images, marks, and mediums, and the figurative layering of time, space, place, and history. Working in a large scale, Mehretu draws on the 21st-century city for inspiration, transferring its energy into her gestural sweeps of paint and built-up marks in ink and pencil—often transposed from projections—and condensing seemingly infinite urban narratives, architectural views, and street plans into single unified compositions.
ABOUT GALLERY
Marlborough Gallery was founded in London in 1946 and is widely recognized as one of the world's leading modern and contemporary art dealers. Marlborough has an international presence with major galleries and offices in Madrid and Barcelona to complement its long established venues in New York and London. Marlborough Graphics publishes editions with both gallery and non-gallery artists in various media such as etching, photogravure, silkscreen and woodcut.
