DORIS SALCEDO
ALESSANDRA'S
ABOUT ARTIST
Doris Salcedo creates sculptures and installations whose understated appearance belies complex themes. Her works commonly have themes and subjects related to historical incidences of mass violence, trauma, racism, and colonialism; she believes that her art represents a social conscience and sees her own role as that of a witness.
ABOUT GALLERY
The Pérez Art Museum Miami is a contemporary art museum that relocated in 2013 to the Museum Park in Downtown Miami, Florida.
