ABOUT ARTIST

A.R. Penck was a Neo-expressionist artist who worked in multiple mediums, including painting, sculpting, printmaking, and filmmaking. His stick-figure work is reminiscent of cave paintings and has been associated with the graffiti-based work of Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat.
